Have you ever really stopped and realized the beauty of the cross? It’s a place where grace and mercy is found, a place of pain but also hope, and of love.
Jesus was the son of a carpenter. He grew up making majestic and beautiful masterpieces out of wood and nails. He showed true love when he poured his blood and sweat out on wood when pierced with nails. A carpenter killed with his own tools. He paid our price so that we didn’t have to. He suffered so that we may have life. All on a cross.
I know what sins were nailed to Jesus for me, I’ve laid them down and surrendered them at his feet. Have you? Do you see the beauty in the cross or see it as an ugly mess? Just remember that once God saw us all as messes but provided Jesus so that one day we all may be made beautiful through Him.
